Citizen Consumer Club (CCC)
AIM
Citizen Consumer Club is a consumer forum of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Government of Tamil Nadu. Citizen Consumer Club of our college is established for the purpose of spreading the awareness about consumer rights amongst all consumer segments and to help consumers get justice affected. The club works on the motivational zeal of consumer groups and also on creating awareness among students at a very young age and through them the general public. To enable students understand fundamental rights of citizen and make them realize and learn the fundamental duties of a good citizen. The students equip themselves for teamwork and whole heartedly help the consumers in upholding their rights and fundamental rights.
Objectives
- To create awareness among the consumers on their rights as per the Consumer rights act 1986.
- To reach out to the public, both near and far, in order to educate them about their rights and responsibilities as consumers.
- To spread awareness on consumer rights amongst all consumer segments.
- To continuously assess policy changes required in each sector and create awareness among consumers on taxation policies.
- To sensitize manufacturers, service providers on consumer rights and quality.
- To help consumers get justice when affected.
Vision
CCC is to spread awareness consumer rights among all .consumer segments especially among college Student to reach the unreached by Important Knowledge/training on Consumer awareness to our students and enable them to teach the village personnel.
Mission
- To create consumer movement in India.
- To Main objectives of the club is ”Aware Alert, Act”.
- To Educate students about rights of Consumer as provided youngsters by in sitting the spirit of protection of consumer rights.
- To Impact Knowledge about the role of consumer in protection of their rights.
- To strengthen the consumer movement in India.

- The CCC conducted an Essay & Poetry competition on behalf of the World Consumer Day on 4.03.2023 .The students participated and received prizes in the competition.
- The CCC conducted an Essay competition on the topic “ Human Rights in India” behalf of the National Human Rights Day on 31.12.2022.The students participated in the competition..
- The CCC conducted an Online Quiz competition on the topic “Safer Food, Better Health” behalf of the World Food Safety Day on 17.10.2022.The students participated in the competition..
- The CCC conducted an Essay , Drawing & Poetry competition on behalf of the World Consumer Day on 3.03.2022 .The students participated and received prizes in the competition.
- The CCC conducted an Essay competition behalf of the National Human Rights Day on 31.12.2021.The students participated in the competition.
- The CCC conducted a Online Webinar on the topic “Personal Selling” on 28.10.2021.The staff members were participated in the program.
- The CCC conducted an Essay competition on the topic “ Safe Food today for a healthy tomorrow” behalf of the World Food Safety Day on 07.06.2021.The students participated in the competition.
- The CCC conducted an Essay , Collage & Poetry competition on behalf of the World Consumer Day on 3.03.2021 .The students participated and received prizes in the competition.
